BENEFITS OF SEX (性的な利点)


Study found that many benefits of sex such as lower blood pressure, improve immunity, ease the pain, and also burn calories.

Oriental medicine's concept always stresses that the balancing of Yin and Yang. If we view the sex from the modern research, it can be justified. The latest research found that sex twice a week can improve the first line defense of body's immune system ,i.e. immunoglobulin A (IgA). Those peoples face pressure and frustration are particularly vulnerable to illness, mean that the human spirit is related to immunity, and the love, caring, and sex between the partners may help mental stability, which can enhance human immunity.

However, everything must be done in moderation. The study found that having sex more than three times a week may reduce the body's immune system.

In addition, sex is not only can promote blood circulation but also lower blood pressure and relief from pain, mainly due to upsurge level of endorphin secretion in brain. The endorphin may inhibit the stress hormones in vivo, and this may decrease the feeling of pressure .This action particularly help to ease arthritis and migraine.

Furthermore, sex can lose weight, because sexual intercourse can be appropriately burn body's calories, and it will contribute to the maintenance of a healthy weight,as well as reduce the risk of diabetes.

How much calories can be consumed for every sexual intercourse? Some people said about 300 kilocalories whereas some people said that only climbed from the first floor to second floor. Some people even said that same as jogging. There are people said it will depend on the position and posture. It seems impossible to estimate the calories consumption from sexual intercourse accurately.

The urologist Dr. Huang Shih Tsung from Hospital Chang Gung said sexual intercourse will not be tired than jogging, and perhaps just like playing golf 18-holes. If we treat sex as the exercise programme,it might not be feasible. After all, both good sex partner and exercise partner are very hard to find. Even if the sex can consume some calories, it did not same as riding a bicycle, swimming, and so on. It is very hard to compare sex with a fixed "real" exercise habits.
